Six Cinematic Drone Shots to Practise First

Build smoother footage with six repeatable movements, clear visual targets and enough space to stop safely.

  1. Slow reveal

Begin behind a foreground object and rise or move sideways until the subject appears.

  2. Push in

Move toward a strong subject while holding altitude and heading.

  3. Pull away

Start close and reverse steadily to reveal scale and context.

  4. Parallel track

Fly beside a subject at a constant distance while keeping the route clear.

  5. Orbit

Circle a stationary subject with conservative radius and speed.

  6. Top-down drift

Point down and move slowly across texture or geometry.

Make the move editable

Hold before and after the movement, avoid unnecessary corrections and repeat at a second speed.
